Along with the 60's came surfing, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Doors, and so on. Whenever the folks were absent I would seize the opportunity to listen at higher levels than would normally be appreciated. (Some things just don't change.) Music was a part of my growth, just as it's been integral to all eras past and present.

I never did learn to play an instrument, though I had friends who did and I enjoyed their playing. I've participated in live music on a weekly basis for about 20 years, in the form of worship music in a church setting.
My musical tastes have certainly changed and expanded over the years. Rich Nace, an international conductor and close friend of mine, has given me a greater appreciation for the richness of classical music. Likewise, I have been able to share with him the virtues of higher fidelity components.
