Advanced Audio Systems Installations, Page 1  The following installation photos are representative of the different lifestyles and preferences of our customers. Some of the installations are dedicated rooms, specifically intended for Home Theater/music systems. Others are typical living rooms that have been seamlessly integrated to accommodate Home Theater/music systems. The installations are pretty evenly divided between new and post construction. Example # 1 

This particular system was very unique and ultimately very impressive. Our customer wanted the best of both worlds, ultimate Home Theater and ultimate two-channel music reproduction.

The Home Theater system centered around the 185 lb. Runco VX4C, 3-chip DLP front projector. An ultra smooth, ultra quiet hydraulic lift was custom built, to lower the VX4C from the ceiling. A 92" wide motorized Stewart Filmscreen GrayHawk screen, was designed into the custom carved crown molding. A custom cabinet was designed to accommodate the components, including Ayre Acoustics, Integra Research, a Rega turntable and Richard Grays AC line enhancement. The room being very large, incorporated Thiel CS-6's for front (L&R), a Thiel MCS-1 for center, and Thiel Power Points for the rear (L&R). Two Thiel SW-1 powered subwoofers were used for LFE, and two Vandersteen 2Wq powered subwoofers were used to extend the low frequency capability of the rear channels.

Example # 2   

This 6,000 sq. ft. home had lots of room to work with. The Home Theater- entertainment room was beautifully designed and decorated. The front projection system was designed around the Runco VX-1000c DLP projector.

A motorized Stewart Filmscreen GrayHawk drop screen, was custom fitted into the crown molding of the cabinet. A custom designed cabinet housed Integra Research components and Richard Grays AC line enhancement. The front (L&R) speakers were Thiel 1.6's, stained to match the custom cabinet. The center channel was a Thiel SCS-1, and a custom stained, Vandersteen V2W powered subwoofer, provided LFE. The rear (L&R) channels were Thiel Higher Planes, ceiling mounted and augmented by a Vandersteen 2Wq powered subwoofer, for full range frequency response. This room also incorporated a wet bar at the back of the room. Darker colors were used in decorating to elegant effect, and to maximize the Home Theater experience.
